The fellowship made their way back to Minas Tirith with the Palantir and king’s knife. They were given an audience with the king and and returned Angrist to its rightful owner. The king was thankful, granted them the bounty, and wished them well on their quest. The king again promised them two ships in Dol Amroth and returned their horses to them.

The party decided to call out to Gnimo. Gnimo answered them in a vision and stated:

“My friends, I can not come to you right now. I have set up shop in Dol Amroth. Please come see me here and I would be happy to conduct our business. I will let you know more when you arrive.”

Jesoc searched out the Minas Tirith archives for information on the home the Hags mentioned – “Gerlkuneshe”. Jesoc found mention that it was far in the northern wastes and that various tribes lived in that area. When the Desdursya tribe was described, Jesoc was sure that these were the fearsome warriors and Shamans that they had encountered in Cirith Ungol.

Kifak also prayed to his gods and received a vision of Gerlkuneshe. Kifak saw an Island within a sea on a hill in the barrens. Kifak also saw a castle on the island. The castle seemed to comprise most of the island.

The party then retired for the evening. Kifak sought out a Dwarf-friendly tavern and Arbun gladly joined him.

The party left early the next morning and the day passed without any incident. It was a pleasant cloudy day. Animals and plants were plentiful for foraging. In the early afternoon the fellowship all noticed that the clouds in the sky began to take on a greenish hue.

This continued though out the afternoon and when they set up camp for the night they also noticed that when the moon emerged from the clouds it also had a greenish hue. Kifak took the first watch and the night also passed without any further incident.

The next day was again cloudy and during the morning the fellowship noticed that the green hue in the clouds was increasing. Later in the afternoon, the clouds appeared to becoming thicker as the light seemed to dim.

The party discussed continuing on through the night with the unsettling green sky, but decided to get a good sleep not knowing what awaited them in Dol Amroth. When the clouds finally lifted late that night, the fellowship saw that the moon has become and even brighter green and that green northern lights were dancing in the sky.

The party awoke the next morning to a dark sky. There was no visible sun giving light and the entire horizon was surrounded by a green aura. Up above, the green full moon shone green and the stars shone bright in the dark sky. Arbun smelled crackling ozone as around them – a strong sign of transmutation magic.

The fellowship decided to send messages to Aenwyn and the king. Both Aenwyn and the king confirmed that this green sky phenomenon was occurring in their skies as well. Both Aenwyn and the king shared that their citizens were growing more concerned and panicked by the hour.

The fellowship quickly packed up their supplies and rode straight to Dol Amroth.

The fellowship arrived in the port city of Dol Amroth. The citizens quickly recognized them as adventurers and asked if they knew what was happening with the sky. The fellowship responded that they also did not know and made their way to the Raging Bull district.

They suddenly heard screaming from ahead and found a young nobleman on the ground and his servant kneeling beside him. It appeared that something had burst out of his chest. There appeared to be a small beetle broach on the nobleman’s chest.

They soon found out that the dead young man is Aaron Littlehorn and that his servant is Liam Roogs. Liam informed the party that Aaron and Liam were just shopping throughout the morning and recently ate lunch at the White Buck Inn. Liam shared that Aaron didn’t interact with anyone during the day that he saw. Later Liam remembered that Aaron saw something on ground and picked it up and shoved it in his pocket. Liam shared that he didn’t see what it was.

Suddenly Gnimo walked up and wondered what the commotion was. Gnimo noticed the victim was Aaron Littlehorn and recognized that the beetle broach was a Scarab of Death. Gnimo shared that he has a similar one in his vault.

Suddenly Gnimo shouted :

“Shit, Shit, Shit, this is going to look like I did this! I am the only magic purveyor in town.”

Kifak recommended that Gnimo leave town until this all calms down but Gnimo said that was impossible. He has settled down here for a girl and they were now engaged – Ashley Littlehorn. Aaron’s sister.

The party agreed to help Gnimo to prove his innocence and requested to first see his vault and confirm his Scarab of Death was still there. Gnimo offered that if they could help him prove his innocence, he would reward them with an airship for their travels. Gnimo produced a small box and carefully gathered up the Scarab of Death.

The fellowship went to Gnimo’s residence and bazaar and found an opulent residence. They found out that Gnimo’s full name was Gnimo Nabulee and that he originally came from Umbar. Gnimo shared that he bought his Scarab of Death from a dealer in Harad and that the scarabs are not really good for anything except assassinations. The only people that seek them our are either collectors or murderers.

The party questioned Ronald Walrut, the butler, and heard a conflicting story of seeing Gnimo running through the streets when Gnimo swore he was alone in his office all morning. Ronald shared that the strangest thing was Gnimo wearing a bloodstained shirt with a purple tunic. The party then questioned Jasmin Metalwart, the housekeeper, and heard a conflicting story of Gnimo arguing with someone in his office when Gnimo swore he was alone in his office all morning

Puzzled by this, the fellowship asked to proceed to the vault. Gnimo showed them the vault which appeared to be a cloud of smoke. Gnimo introduced the party to Mugabu – an Iron Golem that guards the vault from the outside. Mugabu confirmed that no one but Gnimo has been to the vault recently.

Gnimo asked them to follow him and the party entered an interdimensional vault. It was a huge space that held valuables beyond belief – including an airship. Gnimo ran to check on his Scarab of Death and found that it was indeed missing. And several other items seemed to have been moved.

The party asked Gnimo who could have gotten into the vault, but he mentioned that it would only open for him. The party exited the vault and Arbun tried to enter it to only walk through the smoke.

The fellowship believed that someone has impersonated Gnimo, but how?

They asked Gnimo to stay here and ensure that the butler and housekeeper don’t leave. They examined the road from the bazaar to the White Buck Inn and found that there seemed to be a trail of blood that slowly trailed off past the White Buck Inn. Arbun searched the side of the rode and found a discarded perfumed purple tunic that came from Valentina’s shop. They visited both the perfume and Valentina’s shop but the shop owners could not confirm who may have purchased it. (Other than it was quite expensive and could really only be purchased by wealthy folk)

The fellowship returned to Gnimo’s bazaar and decided that Kifak would cast Greater Restoration in the hope of trying to recover Gnimo’s memories as they felt someone had altered them.

After the spell Gnimo remembered that Mortimor Yorman, a necromancer, had visited him in the morning and that they argued over the price Gnimo gave Mortimor for a few items.

Upon hearing this, the fellowship made their way Mortimor’s residence and Mortimor answered the door. Mortimor shared that he is interested in historical items and antiquities. He also shared that he often deals with Gnimo but has been home all day.

The party pressed Mortimor for the truth and Jesoc cast Suggestion on Mortimor.

Mortimor spilled the truth! He shared Gnimo had cheated him on multiple deals so he stole a lock of Gnimo’s hair and created a Clone Golem to sneak into Gnimo’s vault to just steal what he was owed. The Clone Golem snuck in and took the Scarab of Death which quickly burrowed into his skin. Gnimo was alerted at the sound of his screams, so Mortimor cast Sleep and Modify Memory on Gnimo to erase all memories of their interaction. Mortimor ordered the Clone Golem to run back to his residence, entering through the sewers.

The Clone Golem ran through the streets but it wasn’t long before the Scarab of Death burst out of him, whereby Aaron picked it up later that morning. Mortimor shared that he was repairing the Clone Golem upstairs as they spoke.

The fellowship tied up Mortimor and took him to the Captain of the City Watch, before returning to Gnimo’s bazaar with the good news.

Gnimo was over joyed and conducted his business with the fellowship and also confirming that they earned the airship for their travels.
