The party returned to Waterdeep with the Conch in hand and decided to visit the church of Umberlee in the hopes that they could uncover information about the attack and the conch. There they met Abeline Nerovarco – the high trident priestess.

Abeline was confused and shared with them that her order in fact ‘acquired’ the conch and dropped it at the Deepwater Beacon. She was shocked that the Kraken Society would be ordered to steal it and wondered if something had corrupted Slarkrethel to give them this order. She mentioned that there was a meeting of the Kraken Society leadership in a few nights and asked the party to accompany her there, The party was hesitant but agreed,

The party then decided to have a long rest at the Inn of the Dripping Daggar and were surprised that no prophecy was given when they passed by the door. Before they retired, they decided to rub the conch. To their surprise, a Marid was summoned and asked the party what they desired, The party asked for wishes but the Marid stated that he could not provide the wishes at this time. The party asked the Marid to repair the Cube of Force which the Marid gladly did. After asking the Marid more questions with little luck, the party then retired for the evening to rest and recover.

In the morning the party decided to visit Zulpair Villa as they learned that the family was the original owner of the conch. They were greeted by Pasha Arain who asked what he could help them with and he was puzzled when he had heard that they had recovered the conch. He called for his son and his son confessed as to how he had lost the conch by trying to impress a girl. Pasha implored the party to keep the conch as it had brought bad luck to the family and hoped it would bring better luck to them. The party accepted the conch and left.

The party also visited Castle Waterdeep and Laerel Silverhand offered her thanks and a reward for their bravery. She asked the party to inquire about Luskan’s knowledge of the attacks if they ever ventured there in the future. The party agreed.

The party met Abeline the next day and sailed to the cove by The Cloakwood. They entered and interrupted the the Kraken Society in the cove and Abeline confronted the leader of the Kraken Society. The cult leader quickly attacked Abeline and slit her throat.

The party was shocked and leapt forward to attack. The party slaughtered all the members of the Kraken Society without thinking to subdue one for questioning. The party searched the Kraken Society members and found a note from Tentrix that listed the following items:

1. Assemble Black Armada
2. Assault Sword Coasr
3. Betray Luskan
4. Raise Slarkrethel

After leaving the cove, the party was attacked by a guard Treant which they also disposed of.

The party returned to the ship and were deciding whether to sail to Baldurs Gate or Luskan.
