The party opened the door and entered a room that appeared to have used for some type of ceremonies or rituals.
This wide chamber was bordered by midnight black columns in stoas. In the centre of the chamber were six identical statues of green stone. The horrendous forms sculpted in stone vomit forth twisting black beams of energy. The initial positions of the rays were:

Strangely enough the beams of energy made no sound whatsoever. The party examined the doors on the eastern wall and found that they were locked tight with no obvious way of opening. The party continued to explore the room and found no signs or indications that pointed to the purpose of the statues.
The party was then able to determine that the statues appeared to be on pedestals that could be rotated. Tarin also determined that the back beams were not necrotic in nature.
After some experimentation, the party discovered that the beams from the statues ceased if they hit another statue. The party then moved the beams in the following formation:

The beams all ceased and the room was all quiet, but the doors on the eastern wall were still locked. The party then decided to point the beams from the two statues in the centre at the eastern doors.

This also had no effect on the doors. The black beams just splashed soundlessly over the doors. The party then tried to point only one beam at a door.

This also had no effect and the one beam just splashed soundlessly on the door.
The party paused and explored the room again. They found that the two lines of columns to the north and the south held no hints to the solution to the puzzle in front of them. They did notice that the lines of columns appeared to have burn marks that ran horizontally between the columns.
The party then decided to point the statues at each other in a circuit, careful to not get hit by the black beams.

As before, once the beams hit another statue, the beams stopped and the room was silent. The party then decided to try and aim two beams at one door.

This also did not have an effect on the door and the black beams just washed over the door.
The party noticed that the two beams that were aimed horizontally not only stopped, but the mouths of the statue closed. They proceeded to aim the other two statues horizontally and the two centre statues vertically.

All of the statue’s mouths closed and all the beams stopped.
Acanthodoris went to examine the northernmost door on the eastern wall and was able to easily open it. Acanthodoris found that it was empty except for a pentagram in a circle on the floor. Acanthodoris was able to determine that this was a teleportation circle.
The party continued to the southern door and opened it to discover a hallway to another door. The party proceeded to open the other door and were stunned by what they saw.

Before them were four circular connected buildings. Far above the buildings they saw that the seawater appeared to be held back by an invisible force field. Above the force field was a gigantic, abhorrent, mutated Kraken. The Kraken was swimming above the forcefield, grasping and testing the force field with it’s tentacles, and looking menacingly at the party. The party attempted to communicate with Kraken and the only word that was communicated back was:
“Slarkrethel”
The party decided to move on a explore the structures in front of them. The eventually found a round door in the centre and opened it to find two mutated Sahuagin Barons on guard that immediately attacked. They were able to defeat the Sahuagin Barons after a short battle.
They were amazed by the circular chamber before them as it was formed of featureless iridescent metal. Several circular doors led off to other parts of the structure.
Suddenly the party heard a huge CRACK! that resonated from above. The party shuddered and move forward with urgency sensing that time was not on their side.
The party continued to explore to the north down a hallway. As Acanthodoris turned the corner, he was attacked by two more Sahuagin Barons. As the party moved north to attack, two more Sahuagin Barons emerged from a door to the south and an intense battle was engaged on two fronts.
Eventually the party was able to defeat all the Sahuagin Barons and opened a door to continue north.
They heard a banging from ahead and soon saw a Mindflayer attempting repairs on a pipe with two Scrug guards. They immediately focused their attention on the Mindflayer and were able to seriously wound him but not before he unleashed a vicious Mind Blast attack. Acanthodoris then threw a dagger in desperation and killed the Mindflayer with strike right between the eyes.
Acanthodoris is awarded an inspiration.
The party then disposed of the two Scrugs and examined the pipe the Mindflayer was attempting to repair. There was a loose bolt but they were unable to determine if the Mindflayer was tightening or loosening the bolt. Unsure on the proper action, they just moved on.
They came to a door at the end of the hallway. Galo listened at the door and heard beeping from inside but they found the door locked with no apparent way inside.
The party thought that the door might open in the presence of the Mindflayer so they retrieved the corpse of the MindFlayer and discovered that the door opened when the Mindflayer was brought up to the door.
The party discussed if they should keep all or part of the Mindflayer for future use. There was no final decision.
After the door opened, the party entered the room and found lining the walls were curved glass panes across which arcane symbols glided. A broad panel of alien metal covered in small indentations protruded from the lower edge of the panes.
The party paused to decide what to do next.
